VAGINAL BIRTH AFTER CESAREAN SECTION (VBAC)
Most of the pregnant women wish to have vaginal delivery.Unfortunately,it is not always possible. In most cases,if you gave birth to your first baby with C-section,the ERCS(Elective Repeat C-section) will be recommended to you.
Today,it is possible to have vaginal birth after previous cesarean section. There are specific criteria for this procedure, which you have to discuss with your gynecologist.
Because of the slightly higher risk of the uterine rupture, you have to deliver your baby in well organized maternity clinic, with neonatal intensive care unit.Continuous monitoring during the labour is required.
The success rate of VBAC is 60-75%.
